Overview:
The 7 days tour from tangier will take you through the blue city of Chefchaouen in the north of Morocco and to the old imperial city of Fes and its old medina including the main sights of the city, then to the desert of Merzouga to experience the camel trek in the Sahara and sleep in desert camp. After the desert, you will explore the old Kasbahs in the valley of thousand Kasbah and drive through the high Atlas Mountains to reach the city of Marrakech, the second imperial cities of Morocco and explore its main landmarks during the guided city tour.
7 Days Tour From Tangier To Marrakech Via Fes And Merzouga
Program Details :
Day 1: Tangier – Chefchaouen – Fes
During the first day of your trip, we will meet at the port of Tangier and through the Rif mountains and the city of Tetouan enjoying the beautiful views of the mountains until we reach Chefchaouen, one of the impressive villages at the foot of the mountains. Mountains of the Rif. In the medina of Chefchaouen, we find the central square of Spanish style surrounded by many craft workshops and entertaining shops.
There we will find the best restaurants and cafes. Our trip will continue towards the Volubilis crossing through Wazan and other towns of the Rif. Volubilis is an important archaeological site of the Romans that will show us part of the historical past of Morocco.
After the visit of the ruins, we will head to the nearby and historic city of Meknes, where we will make a stop for lunch and stroll to contemplate the wall of its Medina, Bab El Mansour and enjoy a visit to the sanctuary of Moulay Ismail’s. After the visit to Meknes, we will go directly to the city of Fez, where you will spend the night in a Riad.
Day 2: Fez – Visit Of The City
After breakfast in your riad, you will begin to know the oldest city in Morocco walking through its streets and alleys. Our visit begins by visiting the Royal Palace, the Bab Bou Jeloud Gate, the Jewish quarter, the first Mellah ever built in Morocco during the 16th century. We will make sure that you visit all sites with cultural and historical interest, including the famous Al Qaraouine University, the oldest in Africa, the tanneries, the Attarine museum, and the Mulay Idriss Mausoleum. After lunch, we will visit the tile cooperative and then enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of the entire Medina of Fez. Accommodation and dinner in Riyadh.
Day 3: Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga – Erg Chebbi
After breakfast at your hotel, you will leave for Merzouga. The route will take us to Ifrane and the fascinating pass of Tiz Ntalghamt and the Gorges of the Ziz, you will be able to observe the views of the High Atlas plateau and see the change of landscape to reveal the tracks of the desert as you approach the city of Errachidia. Afterward, you will travel along the exuberant Ziz Valley, where stops will be made along the road to Erfoud and Rissani to see different panoramic views. Upon arrival in Merzouga, we will take the traditional glass of mint tea to welcome you, followed by a camel ride that will take you to a tent camp in the middle of the Erg Chebbi desert, to spend a night surrounded by the dunes and the music of the Berber drums.
Day 4: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley
We will get up early to see the sunrise show over the dunes of the Sahara before we walk our way back with the camels to the hotel to have breakfast there and a shower. Later the route will take us through the mountains of Saghro to Tinghir. We will take a short walk through the Todra Gorges before reaching the Dades Valley for dinner and accommodation.
Day 5: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
After having breakfast at the hotel, we will travel through the Dades Valley towards the Kelaa Mgouna and Ouarzazate. The tour of the Dades Valley is the path of the thousand kasbahs that provides numerous opportunities to take some of the best photographic shots of the trip as well as the adjoining Valley of Roses. We will continue to the city of Ouarzazate, famous for film studios. On the way to Marrakech, you will visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, the largest Kasbah in Morocco, built by T-Hami El Glaoui, one of the last Berber chiefs during the beginning of the 20th century, which used to be one of its stops during its long journey from the Sahara to Marrakech, now it is declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The landscape will change drastically when crossing the High Atlas, finding attractive panoramic views and Berber villages all the way to Marrakech. Accommodation in Riyadh.
Day 6 : Marrakech: Visit Of The City
After breakfast in the Riad, you will visit Marrakech “the red city”. We will make sure that you visit the most important places of historical and cultural interest, including the Majorelle Gardens, the Koutoubia Tower, the Saadian Tombs, the Bahia Palace. After lunch at a restaurant near the famous Jemma El-Fna Square. Later we will visit the souks where we will find samples of different crafts. In the afternoon, free time will be available to tour other parts of the city.
Day 7: Transfer To The Airport
After breakfast, at the appropriate time, we will accompany you to flight back
